For the first time!
Not that long ago, masturbation was thought to cause a wide variety of diseases and medical conditions, including mental illness, blindness, gout, and even cancer. We know better than that now. Though things have changed significantly since then, masturbation is still taboo and stigmatized to different degrees in different cultures
Through masturbation, we become the true owners, explorers and scientists of our own bodies, finding the different ways to touch ourselves and get off. Benefits include better sexual health, stronger pelvic floor muscles, stress relief, unblocking our energies, relaxation, release of health-promoting hormones, and general well-being. Masturbation can be a way we learn and show ourselves love, compassion, pleasure and care.
For the first time, Clinical Sexologist Dr. Martha Tara Lee will invite a few brave men to a panel where they will share their masturbation thoughts and practice. She will also facilitate a dialogue around everything relating to masturbation including:
- How men masturbate
- Common attitudes and beliefs around masturbation
- Men’s sexual issues – Premature ejaculation/ delayed ejaculation/ erection difficulties
- Use of porn/ fantasy
- Question of sexual/ porn addition
- Suggestions of how to enhance your masturbation experience
So many people have shame about this simple act of self-love. It is time to reclaim masturbation as an important part of our sexuality.
Let’s come together to undo shame, liberate our minds and free ourselves for deeper erotic potential.
