Fear is the air…

Posted On: November 16, 2015

You might have heard of the Paris attacks where ISIS has claimed responsibility for.

The gunfire and blasts has killed 128 people. More here.

We feel for those affected and hope that our loved ones aren’t.

Do you view the world as scary?

Do you have fear when you come up against the unfamiliar?

Have you become older, wiser… or more jaded?

We all know people who know-it-all.

How attractive is that?

BEING OPEN TO LIFE

How do we take responsibility for our own development and remain open to life? Here are some of my suggestions about being open to life:

1) Healthy Living – We aren’t designed to sit infront of a comptuer 24 x 7. Instead fresh air, exercise and a balanced diet goes a long way to supporting us lead an optimized life. Watch my video on my daily routine of exercising!

2) Accepting and Releasing – We can do what we can, and need to let go of what we cannot change. Acceptance in the form of conscious breathing, meditation or prayer really helps. I love Kirtan and 5Rhthyms. Watch this video where I share how to let go here.

jumpstart33) Seeking Inspiration – Inspiration is all around us in nature and people around. This is why I’ve featured authors and passionate people this year. Who do you look up? Research on them, follow their work, and draw inspiration from them.

4) Lifelong Learning – There are lots of places we can learn. For instance, I’ve discovered DuoLingo app this week! Remember I have lots of resources I’ve posted on my YouTube channel and blog. I also have a weekly radio show Eros Evolution (all episodes available for free!) If you are read books, you should check out my top 10 recommended books from 2013 and 2014.

5) Getting SupportAs the year begins to wind down, have you started thinking about how you can make sure 2016 will be better? I am a sexologist, life coach and meditation teacher. I offer private coaching and can design a customised program for you.

Who is Martha?

marthaSurrounded by friends who were sexually inhibited and struck by dire lack of positive conversations around sex and sexuality, Dr. Martha Tara Lee set out to make a positive difference in embarking on her doctorate in human sexuality, then launching Eros Coaching in 2009. She works with individuals and couples who wish to lead pleasure-filled and confident lives. Since 2011, she has been and still is the only certified sexuality educator by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Singapore. This accolade is only for those who meet the stringent requirements determined by AASECT, which is the leading professional organization for sexuality educators, sexuality counselors and sex therapists in the United States.

Martha takes prides in making sure all her events are fun, educational, and sex-positive. This comes easily to her because even though she is extremely dedicated and serious about her work, she fundamentally believes that sex is meant to be fun, wonderful, amazing and sacred. As such, this serious light-heartedness has shone through again and again. You can read the testimonials she’s received over her seven years of practice here.

Often cited in the local media, Dr. Lee is the appointed sex expert for Men’s Health Singapore, and Men’s Health Malaysia. She was recognised as one of ‘Top 50 Inspiring Women Under 40′ by Her World in July 2010, and one of ‘Top 100 Inspiring Women’ by CozyCot in March 2011. She has published two books: Love, Sex and Everything In-Between, and Orgasmic Yoga. For her full profile, click here.
