Promoting gender equality measures is a way of investing in women and improving their lives, the lives of those who they care for and the community at large. Investing in women will also lead to improved business outcomes, socio-economic security and fairer societies.

How can we make gender equality a reality? 1. Awareness People need to be aware of the current state of affairs and the benefits of change. 2. Education Many believe that the most significant obstacle to gender equality is unequal access to education. Education for girls and women needs to be a top priority. 3. Legislative support There are many laws and systems in place that fuel gender inequality. To break those systems down, laws that discriminate need to be repealed and new laws put in place.
