Testimonial from the husband of somebody who had Vaginismus:
“Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that I would one day be able to experience penetrative sex (what more after only two hours worth of consultation with her!). Martha is akin to a miracle worker. Someone who knows her stuff extremely well.” – Anonymous Male Client, 18 Dec 2018
This came in from his wife on 2 Jan 2019:
“Coming to Martha for help was one of the best decision ever! I have been visiting the hospital for a year regarding vaginismus and I still wasn’t able to get the necessary help to overcome this issue that I have been suffering from. We managed to overcome vaginismus within a span of 2 months, after 2 sessions with Martha. I’m happy to say that we are now expecting a baby! Thanks Martha, couldn’t be more grateful to have met you! 🙂 “ – Anonymous Female Client, 2 Jan 2019
We only had two one-hour sessions after they unsuccessfully sought help from a multi-disciplinary team (gynae, psycho, and even the in-house sex therapist) at a leading hospital in Singapore. There was no nudity or touch. They came to me hopeless and helpless, bewildered about what they have done “wrong” – they didn’t. Instead this is a healthcare system that has failed them.
I’ve worked with more than 500 couples with unconsummated marriage or Vaginismus for close to 10 years and my approach is pleasure-focused, progressive, and practical. Many of my clients, Vaginismus ones in particular, are amazed how quickly they can overcome their condition. It’s not about how good I am, and more about support them to understand what they need to do and how. I am very grateful that I’ve been able to support them, and I know I can help you if you suspect you have Vaginismus.
WHAT IS VAGINISMUS? – It is a condition that happens when the vagina shuts down making penetration difficult of impossible. In my experience, this usually happens out of fear of pain. It could be the result of painful penetration, pain during childbirth, or sexual trauma. However, most people who have Vaginismus who I have worked with have NEVER had any sexual trauma or abuse. It is psychological and very much linked to the lack of sexuality education growing up.
